Detroit Society of Women Painters & Sculptors

The Detroit Society of Women Painters & Sculptors is one of oldest self-sustaining women's art organizations in the United States.  DSWPS aims for high achievement among it's members by holding juried exhibitions, presenting interesting and informative programs and encouraging art students.  Lillian Burk Meeser formed the Society in 1903 to advance creativity in the arts.
